The Cancer Council Victoria’s Arts Awards program is an annual event that accepts entries in Visual Art, Poetry, Short Story, Film, Indigenous Visual Art, Children’s Art and Children’s Writing.
The Awards program was established as a means for people touched by cancer to communicate their experiences in a creative way. Among the cash prizes that are awarded to the most outstanding works within their categories, several highly commended and commended entries are selected from each category.
This year the exhibition will be on display for all to view, at the 120 Collins Street Foyer from the 10th – 29th of July and the theme will be ‘I am.’
All cancer journeys, invoke a range of emotions and can affect how you perceive yourself and others. ‘I am,’ allows people to reflect on how they feel and how they identify themselves, after having been touched by cancer.

It’s a simple, fun, easy way to raise money for cancer research, prevention and support services for cancer patients and their families. Your morning tea can be as big or small as you like and you can host your morning tea absolutely anywhere - in your office, at home, school or with your local community group.
