Yarra Valley Victoria
Tarrawarra Museum of Art and Lubra-Bend Gardens
Thursday April 14th
Enjoy a day in the beautiful Yarra Valley. Leaving St Michael's Uniting Church at 9.30am sharp, we will travel by bus, or by private car as arranged, and arrive at Tarrawarra Museum at approximately 11.00am. We will then have morning tea and view the Gallery's current exhibition, "Artwork to Tapestry."
A guided tour of the exhibition will give us a greater understanding of the skills and creativity needed to transform paintings to a tapestry.
Following this tour we will travel to Helen Hardman's lovely home for a light lunch together. After lunch we will visit the beautiful native garden of Rosemary Simpson, in Yarra Glen.
We look forward to a beautiful autumn day with much to stir both the mind and soul.
The bus holds 11 passengers, so those wanting to travel by bus - book early. Others requiring transport can organise to be picked up, when booking. There will be a small cost towards petrol.
Time: 9.30am at St Michaels for the Bus. Cars will be arranged if needed.
Venue: Tarawarra Museum, 311 Healesville-Yarra Glen Road, Healesville (Mel Ref. 27. B2)
