The Royal Botanic Gardens
Cranbourne Australian Garden
How fortunate we are in this city of Melbourne to have two magnificent Royal Botanic Gardens.
We invite you to journey into the Australian landscape with a visit to the Australian Gardens at Cranbourne. Explore our place in Australia's remarkable natural world and discover more about our amazing native plants. The Australian Garden is a unique experience and is distinctly different from other botanic gardens displaying Australian plants.
These gardens were established in 1970 for the purpose of conservation research, display and enjoyment of native plants. These expansive natural gardens are also home to thriving bird and animal life, including several rare and endangered species.
Refreshments will be available to you in the Boonerwurrung café. We will travel by car and suggest that to save petrol and cost, we will pool our resources. When booking please indicate if you require transport or can provide it. We suggest you wear sensible shoes and bring a sun hat and wind/rain jacket.
Time: 11am at the Car Park Shelter
Cost: Adults $9.50, Concessions $7.10
Travel: $10 for those travelling with others. This includes a donation to Human Rights.
