1910 - A miracle year
An opportunity for you to join with the members of the M.S.O to attend the dress rehearsal of the Masters Series Concert 6 - "A Miracle Year"!
The English Conductor Mark Wigglesworth and the magnificent young Canadian Violinist James Ehries will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the outpouring of musical creativity right across the globe. It is something worth celebrating.
1910 ‘Elgars' great violin concerto music that sings of memories and hope, Bartok's shimmering orchestral ‘Two Pictures' and Stravinsky's lavish musical re-telling of the Russian Fairytale "The Firebird". Musical masterpieces that mirror the soul of the period. For those who wish, we will lunch together at Cafe Basso, Little Collins Street. Please indicate if you intend to join the group so we can arrange a table together.
