And Buda Historic Home and Garden
The Castlemaine Gallery was founded in 1913 and since then has acquired an excellent collection of Australian art works and the museum has a rich collection of historical items from Castlemaine and district. We plan to arrive at the Gallery at 11.00am for morning tea and a tour of the permanent collection and the current exhibition - Sally Scott's "Drawing Daisy Bates", followed by a tour of the museum to view the current Burke and Wills exhibition.
We will lunch together at Buda, a charming 19th Century Gentleman's residence, surrounded by a picturesque garden. Following lunch we will have a tour of the home and garden, with authentic furnishings, and a significant heritage garden and grounds to delight you all.
