Hatha Yoga

Tuesday 'After Work' Yoga - 5.30pm-6.30pm

These hatha yoga workshops (from the Viniyoga tradition, meaning the integration of yoga movements with the flow of breath) are suitable for beginners to the more experienced. A selection of traditional yoga postures (asana) and breathing practices (pranayama) will be taught and adapted to fit each person’s abilities. 

Dates: February 28, March 27, April 24, May 29, June 26, July 31, August 28, October 30, November 27

Understanding and using iPads

Term 1

iPads are a great alternative for those who do not have a computer and are not sure about getting one, and for those with a computer, as they are a lightweight portable extension to a home computer - Windows or Mac.

The course will then run over weekly sessions for those who have an iPad and would like to learn how to use it effectively.  Basics of using the iPad will be taught, followed by tutorials of all the ‘must-have’ apps (applications) including Skype, (free world-wide phone calls), email, web browsing, photos, music, gaming, ebooks, YouTube videos, Google Earth, shopping (Ebay), Maps, social networking such as Facebook, Twitter and more.

Term 1: Tuesday evenings: 6.30pm-8.00pm, February 28 - March 27 (5 weeks)

Term 2: Tuesday evenings: 6.30pm-8.00pm, April 24 - June 26 (10 weeks)

"Last Tuesday" Book Group

The “Last Tuesday” open book discussion group meets from 7.00pm - 8.30pm
on the last Tuesday of most months, commencing February 28th at:

St Michael’s Library, 1st Floor
120 Collins Street, Melbourne.

Tea and coffee are provided. There is no charge but you will need to obtain your own copy of the book to read before the discussion group takes place.

First book: Breath by Tim Winton to be discussed Tuesday February 28, 2012.

Salsa Dance

Come Alive with Salsa

Dancing can be a joyful and healthy way of changing our daily routine and enhancing our wellbeing. The fun and liveliness of Latin dance has a strong appeal for people of all ages. Salsa is a Latin American dance and everyone is welcome to learn how to enjoy it.

No experience or knowledge is needed, just the motivation to learn and have a good time.  Couples and single people welcome!

WHEN: 7.00pm – 8.30pm Tuesdays

Term 1: February  14 - March  27  (7 week term $70 per person)
Term 2:  April 24 - 26 June 26  (10 week term $100 per person)
Term 3: July  24 - September 25  (10 week term $100 per person)
Term 4: October 16  - December 4  (7 week term $70 per person)

(NO CLASS on Melbourne Cup Day)

Casual Attendance is $15 per person per class.
