A spectacular heritage listed building in the heart of the city, its unique and elegant interior and welcoming ethos make St Michael’s a church suited to all couples wanting to celebrate their marriage and love.
St Michael’s is an open and progressive church. We welcome all couples, regardless of gender, identity and sexual orientation, religious beliefs or previous marital status.

To view the church?
To view the church, we ask that you either request to organise a private booking during the week or visit the Church on Sundays during the service which commences at 10 am (doors open at 9:30 am). Please note there are no staff members available on the weekend.
The wedding ceremony includes all you need for an occasion that joyful and meaningful
- Use of the church
- The minister
- The verger (who assists the minister)
- The organist to play our pipe organ
- The carillon (ringing of the bells)
- Church flowers
- Rehearsal
- Administration
The wedding ceremony lasts for approximately 30 minutes, depending on how many readings you choose, the length of your music, etc.
